Botrytis-infused orange marmalade and marzipan nose gives way to other interesting, but artificial sweet complexities. There is a sweet candied aroma of strawberry PEZ, vitamin C chewable tablets, and spring fresh dryer sheets. The palate has a kumquat-like acidity on the backend and is bone dry and puckery. The medium minus body is rather unfocused. The piercing acidity is the main component and is more sour than refreshing, creating a disjointed impression. This wine is desparately screaming for mussels to pull it together.
